Finance Assistant
Location: [Manchester City Centre]
Hours: Full Time Role. Part Time would be considered.
Job Summary
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our busy estate agency and property management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the accounts function, ensuring landlords, contractors and suppliers are paid accurately and on time while providing excellent support for banking and client account enquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Account Administration
- Process landlord payments in accordance with company procedures and deadlines.
- Process contractor and supplier payments.
- Reconcile landlord, tenant and client account transactions.
- Ensure compliance with client money handling regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Banking & Financial Administration
- Handle daily banking activities including receiving, allocating and reconciling payments.
- Investigate and resolve banking discrepancies and payment queries.
- Respond to banking enquiries from landlords, tenants, contractors and institutions.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing payments and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist with month-end reconciliation processes.
Accounts & Invoice Processing
- Process purchase invoices and prepare payment runs.
- Verify invoices and ensure appropriate authorisation is obtained.
- Maintain contractor and supplier account records.
- Support the property management team with administrative duties.
Customer Service
- Provide professional and timely responses to landlords, contractors and tenants regarding financial matters.
- Liaise with property managers and other departments to resolve client finance issues.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in an accounts, finance or bookkeeping role.
- Experience within estate agency, lettings, property management or a client accounts environment would be advantageous.
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Property Manager – Manchester City Centre
Excellent Basic Salary plus office commission scheme
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. Approx. one Saturday per month (11am–4pm) with a weekday off in lieu.
Benefits: 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, opportunity to apply for ARLA qualifications with funded membership (subject to success), regular team incentives.
We’re looking for a switched-on, highly organised Property Manager to join a busy, fast-paced city centre estate agency team. You’ll be managing a portfolio of rental properties on behalf of private landlords and acting as the conduit between tenants, landlords, and contractors.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Being the key liaison point between tenants and landlords
Handling maintenance issues, inspections, repairs, and enforcing tenancy rules
Preparing and issuing legal documents such as tenancy agreements and notices
Keeping property files up to date and ensuring compliance across the board
Reviewing rent levels and negotiating increases or reductions in line with market trends
Checking adverts and marketing materials are accurate for remarketing
Reviewing inventories and checkout reports, negotiating deductions, and processing deposits
Managing tenancy change requests in line with industry guidelines
What You’ll Need
At least 12 months’ experience in Property Management
Strong organisational and time-management skills (spinning plates is basically the job)
Solid negotiation abilities and confident communication
Proficiency with Microsoft Office — especially Excel
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
A calm, empathetic approach when dealing with tricky situations
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility, positivity, and willingness to muck in when needed
