Cobden House

Launching 25th November is a new development in the heart of Stockport Town Centre. Originally, Cobden’s was a pub that dates back to the early 19th century and is a locally listed building within the St Peter’s Conservation area. The refurbishment has been designed to be sympathetic to the historic character of both the locally listed former pub and the adjacent buildings.

Within the development, there are 9 individual apartments: 8 one-bedroom and 1 two-bedroom. Each apartment benefits from a unique layout, so buyers can choose whichever best suits their lifestyle (subject to affordability). All internal finishes are of a high standard, including a shaker-style kitchen and integrated appliances.

The location of Cobden House is perfect for those who want to enjoy Town Centre living and those who commute, with Stockport Train Station under a 5-minute walk from the development. Travelling via train to Manchester takes roughly 10 minutes and the train to London can get you there in just 2 hours, with trains running regularly to both destinations.

Stockport is an extremely exciting Town Centre that The Sunday Times has labelled one of the best “up and coming” areas to live and invest in for 2022. It is home to an increasing number of independent businesses, such as Yellowhammer; a bakery and pottery studio, Where The Light Gets In; a rustic and cosy kitchen that holds a Green Michelin Star, and Rare Mags; a well-established magazine and bookshop.

New Cross Central

New Cross Central is a brand-new development that consists of both contemporary apartments and townhouses that have been inspired by the history and character of Manchester.

Homes are housed in a robust red brick exterior, paying homage to the iconic buildings around the city, and inside blends ultra-modern style and raw beauty. Throughout each home, you’ll find a combination of exposed concrete walls and ceilings and high-quality wood flooring for living areas. Each kitchen includes a Silestone Quartz surface worktop with a sink with a brass finish mixer tap. Each bathroom comes with a fully tiled floor and partially tiled walls, and a lit mirrored cabinet above the bathroom sink.

All homes are dual aspects and let in an abundance of natural light. All homes also have access to the urban oasis of the communal landscaped courtyard, whilst townhouses open onto a private garden.

New Cross Central is located at the centre of an up-and-coming, exciting quarter of Manchester, nestled between Ancoats and the Northern Quarter, New Cross is a perfect city-centre location. Within a 5-minute walk, you could be at a choice of some of Manchester’s most popular bars and restaurants, including Firehouse; a gorgeous, rustic venue serving mezze-style dishes and vibrant, fun events, and sister restaurant Ramona; specialising in Detroit-style pizzas, tater tots, and a delicious range of margaritas.

The development is due for completion in January 2022, meaning you can start your new year with a new home! To enquire about buying at New Cross Central, please email info@reside-property.com or call us at 0161 837 2840.

Mustard Tree

During the winter months and the run-up to Christmas, it becomes increasingly important to help those in need. Broadside, a Build to Rent scheme that Reside manages in New Cross, recently got in touch with local charity Mustard Tree to find out more about their work and see what they could do to help.

Mustard Tree is a Manchester-based charity helping to combat and prevent poverty, inequality, and homelessness, offering a wide range of support via its services. Located at its branches are Food Clubs: these have been designed to look like grocery shops, helping those in need access essential items and food in a dignified way. They also have Community Shops which are full of gorgeous pre-loved and one-off furniture items, homeware, and clothing that are on sale to the public to raise money for Mustard Tree. For those that might need a helping hand at the start of a new tenancy (those on low income/benefits and/or have been homeless), Mustard Tree will make a house a home with a choice of free furniture. In addition to practical support, the charity also offers workshops at its Ancoats Hub, such as creative writing, art, and textiles.

If you have furniture that’s in good condition and no longer has a use, Mustard Tree will collect these items from you for FREE when you fill out their form: https://mustardtree.org.uk/furniture-donation-enquiry-form/

If you are interested in having a Mustard Tree donation box, perhaps there’s space for it at your work, or maybe you live in a building with multiple apartments that would be suitable, please email information@mustardtree.org.uk to arrange this. Please see their Winter Wish List below.
