Canal Wharf House launch, Broadside summer party and Mayfield Park opening news.

Canal Wharf House Launch

Last month was the official launch of Canal Wharf House, an exclusive development in the sought after area of Castlefield Basin.

Canal Wharf House is the definition of luxury living: with just 24 apartments, the scheme has the air of a boutique hotel. Prestbury Estates have redefined the current city-centre specification and there is a premium feel from the second you enter the property: spacious entertaining areas, bespoke German Kitchens, Quooker hot taps, Amtico flooring, a video call entry system and many more luxurious features.

The launch weekend was a huge success, with 50% of the apartments secured over the two days. It was especially great to see the show apartment for the first time and get a clear vision of what this stunning development will look like once completed. A huge congratulations to Prestbury Esates for creating such a beautiful space!

Broadside Summer Party

Broadside is our first Build to Rent scheme that we manage here at Reside. It is a stylish development nestled between Ancoats and Northern Quarter in the up and coming neighbourhood New Cross.

It has many amazing facilities and prides itself on its community feel and pet-friendly nature. On a sunny Friday evening in mid August, the Broadside team hosted their annual summer party, which this year took the form of a rooftop disco. There were cocktails, and a DJ that played all the dance classics to get everyone in the weekend spirit. There was also a pizza oven up on the terrace, serving delicious, fresh pizzas (because partying is hungry work, right?). The party was free for tenants and their friends to enjoy and is just one of the ways that Broadside brings tenants together to form it’s strong, welcoming community.

After a busy summer, we are proud to announce that Broadside is currently fully occupied. If you would like to enquire about renting with us at Broadside, please visit the Broadside website broadsidemcr.com or email hello@broadsidemcr.com.

Mayfield Park

Manchester’s first city-centre public park will be ready to open its doors in the Autumn! The 6.5-acre Mayfield Park is located just next to Piccadilly Station and boasts adventure play areas, biodiverse ecological areas, open green spaces, and quieter spaces where you can easily escape the hustle and bustle of Manchester’s buzzing inner-city region.

The site also offers walking, running, and cycling routes, in addition to a section of the River Medlock, which was uncovered as part of the project. The park is part of a wider project to restore the 20-acre area of Mayfield into a vibrant neighbourhood, using the site’s industrial past to ‘guide’ and inspire the new developments. Historically, Mayfield was known for its textile factories, like much of central Manchester. However, it gained its name from the Mayflower: a wildflower that once grew in abundance in the area. We are excited that once again wildflowers will be plentiful in Mayfield!

Results We Are Proud Of

Our data from the first half of the year shows what a triumph this year has been for Reside. From January to June, Reside has sold over £23m worth of property (with over half of this amount in Ancoats alone!).

These sales equate to approximately 54,000 square feet – over twice the area of Manchester’s renowned Heaton Park. Our average asking price achieved over this period was a very impressive 99.3%, which is reflective of the demand for the properties in Reside’s portfolio and the hard work of the team. Not only does our data speak volumes, but so do our reviews, and we are proud to have a 4.7-star rating on Google from our 314 reviews.
